    Apple Pie

    • Clean Soy Wax: Each 9oz candle is made with natural soy wax and cotton wicks. They burn for up to 50 hours with no toxins or black smoke.
    •  Rustic Decor: The tins have fall artwork, so they look cute sitting out. When the candles are done, you can reuse the tins for storage or decoration.

  • If you’ve ever packed for a family trip, you know it can feel like you’re moving the whole house. Kids need more than just clothes — they need snacks, toys, toiletries, and comfort items that make them feel at home. As a mom of three, I’ve had trips where I forgot something important and trips where I nailed the packing. Over time, I’ve learned what works and what doesn’t. In this blog, I’m sharing my real mom-tested packing hacks to save you stress and help you actually enjoy traveling with your kids in 2025.

    1) Do laundry first (and pack extras)

The hardest part for me is not having enough clean clothes. I run laundry 1–2 days before we leave, then pack one extra outfit per child, plus extra socks and underwear.

I fold a shirt + bottoms + underwear + socks together as one set and slip each set into a gallon zip bag or a packing cube. It makes mornings fast.

    3) Use packing cubes for each child

I use packing cubes in the kids’ suitcases. One cube for outfits, one for pajamas/undies, and one for “extras.” It keeps everything neat and easy to find.

    4) Keep liquids away from clothes

Never put liquid bottles with clothing—they can spill. I place baby shampoo and baby lotion (my must-haves) in zip bags or travel bottles and keep them in an outer pocket.

    5) Entertainment that actually works

For the car, I use music and downloaded videos. After a while, my kids usually fall asleep. Don’t forget chargers and a small headphone splitter if kids are sharing a device.

    6) Set a “landing zone” at your destination

When we arrive, I place bags in a corner out of the walkway. One corner for luggage and one small spot for shoes. This keeps the room safe and tidy.

    7) Road-trip setup (since my kids haven’t flown yet)

We mostly drive. I keep a reach bag in the front: snacks, wipes, water, a change of clothes for the youngest, small trash bags, and paper towels. Refill it at gas stops.

    8) If you fly: protect breakables + follow liquid rules

From my experience flying: don’t pack glass souvenir mugs in checked luggage—they can break. Put breakables in carry-on with padding. Keep all liquids in sealed bags (TSA quart bag for carry-on).

    9) Be weather-ready

I always bring an umbrella or jacket, closed-toe shoes, and a portable fan. These small items save the day when weather changes.

    10) Pack early (day or night before)

My stress-free tip: pack the night before. In the morning, do a quick check: phones/chargers, wallets/IDs, keys, snacks, and the kids’ favorite comfort item.

    FAQ: Packing With Kids

Q: How do I stop overpacking?
Pack outfits by day and stick to your checklist. Extras should be only socks, underwear, and one spare outfit.

Q: How do I keep kids from getting bored on long trips?
Download shows or music before you leave. A new coloring book or small toy also works wonders.

Q: What if my kids spill something on the road?
Keep a “car cleanup kit” with wipes, trash bags, and paper towels within reach.

Q: How can I save space in the suitcase?
Use packing cubes or roll clothes tightly. Store toiletries in flat zip bags.

    Personal Note

I’ve made mistakes too — like packing liquids with clothes (huge mess) and bringing back broken glass souvenirs. Now I’m more careful, and honestly, traveling is less stressful when you plan ahead. My kids are learning routines from me too, and that makes me proud as a mom.

    Final Thoughts

Packing with kids doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With packing cubes, outfit bundles, toiletry bags, and early prep, you’ll cut down on chaos and focus on making family memories.

Pro Tip: Create your own family packing checklist and keep it saved for every trip.

Tip: Want to keep this checklist handy? Write it down or take a screenshot so you’ll have it for your next trip!

  • Welcome to WordPress! This is your first post. Edit or delete it to take the first step in your blogging journey.

  • Hello friends,
I’m so excited to start this new blog and share a little piece of my homemaker journey with you. I’ve always loved decorating my home for the holidays, shopping for new décor, and making my space feel warm and cozy. Being a homemaker gives me the flexibility I need to enjoy my family, travel, and work toward financial freedom.

But homemaking isn’t always easy, and I know many of us face the same struggles.

    The Biggest Struggle for Homemakers

One of the hardest parts of homemaking is keeping the house clean and meals ready especially when you have kids. Some days it feels like there’s just not enough time. And I get it, because I’ve been there too.

My Simple Tips for a More Peaceful Home

Over the years, I’ve found little things that make homemaking feel less stressful and more peaceful:

    • Playing instrumental music while cleaning or studying.
    • Lighting candles and sipping on a warm cup of tea.
    • Creating a cozy mood that makes cleaning feel less like a chore and more like “me-time.”

    Balancing Kids, Cleaning, and Me-Time

The truth is, balance is possible but it looks different for everyone.
For me, I clean when my kids are at school or asleep. My real me-time happens at night, when the house is finally quiet. Sometimes the grandparents step in and give me an extra break, and that helps more than they know.

Tools That Help Me Stay Organized

I’m old-school at heart. My favorite tools are simple:

    • A notebook and pen for jotting things down.
    • A calendar to keep track of appointments and routines.
    • A to-do list to keep me focused on what really matters each day.

    Advice for New Homemakers

If you’re just starting your homemaker journey and you feel overwhelmed, here’s my advice:

    • You’re not in this alone. Find a group of women like you for support.
    • Don’t stretch yourself thin. Take breaks when your body tells you to.
    • It’s okay to cry. Let it out and move forward.
    • Ask for help. Lean on family or friends when you need a break.
    • Find a hobby you love. Even better if it can bring in income, too.

Homemaking isn’t about being perfect it’s about creating a space filled with love, rest, and peace.
